A Message From Our President...
Invision Food Marketing Group was founded in October, 1997 to provide the New York Market with a greatly needed new sales and marketing option for the food service industry. The company was started by a core group of food service professionals: John Vice, Chris Bresler and Cindy Young.
We set out to create a dynamic food sales and marketing agency to fill a gap in the New York market by focusing our attention on "middle-tier" manufacturers. Having come from one of the largest food brokerages in New York, we were familiar with how the middle-tier lines and the introduction of new line items, could get "lost" within a food brokerage or in the market altogether. As expected, the need for a food brokerage of this nature was also well recognized by the distributors in the New York market. Distributors often stated that they had seen far too many brokers merely monitor their business as opposed to actually growing it.
To do this, we structured our company around working owners. This enabled us to spend the maximum amount of time on the sales plan for a particular line, regardless of the generated revenue. Approaching the market with the owners actively selling has the added benefit of maximizing the commission dollars for greater end result. We pride ourselves in our ability to create new opportunities, through a focused sales effort with key end-users, for our manufacturers and our distributors. Our companies minimum call standard is 75% of all calls are operator calls. By bringing the opportunities we created with these operators back to the distributors, our manufacturers have realized substantial growth during our representation.
